This week's harvest included:
- Salad Mix
- Beans
- Garlic
- Red Ruffled Kale
- Carrots
- Cabbage
- Cilantro
Salad Mix. Chicken salad sandwiches. I know, I know... boring. But delicious just the same.
Beans. These will either get added to other veggies for a new batch of snack bread, get eaten by Mary for dinner, or be sliced to include in the asian slaw salad.
Garlic. We'll keep these for a bit and maybe use them in gumbo or jambalaya after Thanksgiving.
Red Ruffled Kale. Carrots. Cabbage. Cilantro. This is practically THE recipe for asian slaw salad. I might add some rainbow chard and some napa cabbage and some rainbow radishes. I might also find a way to slice up the beans on the mandoline for some crunch. A little dressing, sliced almonds, and fresh orange segments and we're there! If you haven't tried it yet, please stop by the bakery for lunch. It's healthy, fresh, and delicious. Plus it's an attractive and filling lunch as well. And you will feel so much less guilty about enjoying a sweet for dessert!
